Ethan had his Joy School Graduation last night, May 22nd. They had a great program and then they got to put on their graduation caps and they just looked so cute. Then they had cake and ice cream. I was so glad to be a part of Ethan's Joy School. It was so much fun, and I plan to do Joy School again next year for Ethan as well.

Madeline's 1st Kindergarten field trip

Today I got to help the Kindergarten children on their field trip. We went to a private home in Magna that has horse property with a corral. They had a demonstration/discussion of cowboy clothes, work, equipment, and care of horses. Afterwards, they went to a public park for a picnic.

Tent trailer

We bought a '95 Jayco Tent trailer for camping this summer. We will be going to Iowa for Memorial Day week. Madeline is off school for the whole week for Kindergarten Assessments. So we will be gone May 24-June 2 to visit Jared's parents in Iowa. We won't be taking the trailer there, but we will be taking it to Washington state for Jared's grandma's 90th birthday celebration in Leavenworth. That will be June 25-30. We are also going to visit my brother, Erik in Deer Park and then to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole to visit Jared's sister, Debbie. Lots of traveling! Lots of fun!

Foster Care classes finally done!

We finally finished our last Foster Care class on Thursday, May 1st. It was the last of 8 classes, that are each 4 hours long. It was international potluck night as well, so I brought Haupia to it. It must be an acquired taste because only one person commented on it and said it was good. I love haupia, my family does as well. They always have it at the luau's I have attended. Anyways, for foster care, all we have to have done is our safety house check and then we can foster. Our class trainer said it can take months for the house check to get done. In the meantime, we are almost done with our paperwork for adoption. We are still waiting for Jared's birth certificate copy and to finish our picture collage and then a home study.

Today Madeline said the prayer in primary and Ethan thought he should come up as well, So they were both up there and Ethan was trying to tell Madeline what to say as well. Madeline gave me a strange look as if she didn't know who to listen to. I thought it was pretty funny.
