Kids getting ready to trick or treat. They were impatient to start.

Pizza shaped as a pumpkin that we had for dinner

Matching shirts from Old Navy - for $1 each from the promotion last Saturday.

1st grade Halloween party

Today, I went in and helped for the last hour that they had games for Halloween. They played Halloween Bingo, decorated sugar cookies, and played pin the tail on the cat (which I was in charge of). The time flew by and the kids had fun.

Halloween Carnival

Yesterday, we took the kids to the school carnival. They had bouncy houses and blow up rides and food and games. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Ethan was the most excited for the cotton candy - which he wanted to do first and Madeline wanted to do the bouncy rides first.

Soup and Pie Night

We had our annual Soup and Pie night/Halloween Party last Friday with our ward. The kids wore their Halloween costumes. They also had a fishing pond game for toys for the kids. Madeline got a puffer fish and Ethan got a plastic fish. See pics below:

Day Seven of our Hawaii Trip

Oct. 20

Today we went to Waimanalo Beach and swam and laid around for our last day in Hawaii.

We ate lunch at Keneke's again and I got a shaved ice and ice cream treat.
After that, we went to shops and to the Pali lookout again trying to find a waterfall, but our GPS wouldn't lead us to it. We also went to the Halona Blowhole Lookout.
We stopped to look at a cactus - Jared loves cactus and loves to take his pictures by them. Never thought I would see one in Hawaii. We had dinner at Zippy's which faced a marina. Then we got our luggage and headed to the airport. Ready to leave at 9:00 p.m.

Day Six of our Hawaii Trip

Oct. 19

Today we went driving on the North Shore and also to Nanakuli, where my dad was born and raised. Here is Nanakuli Avenue and just down the road is where my dad used to live. And another picture of Nanakuli Beach.

We went to Pearl Harbor.

After, we met with my cousin Barbara at 3:00 and went to see Aunty Dot and Aunty Mae.

Day Five of our Hawaii Trip

Oct. 18
Today we rushed to the temple in Laie and made it just in time for the 10:00 session.

Afterwards, we spent the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Day Four of our Hawaii Trip

Oct. 17

We slept in and had breakfast at 8:00 a.m. There was another couple in the bed and breakfast from Germany.

We went to the Dole Plantation today and went on a train of the plantation and a garden tour.

After we went to Hawaiian Waters Waterpark for a few hours and then drove to Laie for the Polynesian Cultural Center Luau. We got flower leis and had a luau and there was dancing, and afterwards, we went to the show Horizons.

Day Three of our Hawaii Trip

Oct. 16
Today we got up early again - at 5:30 a.m. to meet a bus at 6:45 for a hike to Diamond Head. It was a good hike and a beautiful view.

We were going to go on an outrigger canoe with another couple that had a Go Oahu card, but were unable to meet up with them, so instead Jared got a body board and I got an umbrella and chair and we went in the ocean on Waikiki beach.

We went on the Makini Catamaran and got to see the shoreline of Waikiki and Diamond Head. They fed us lunch on the catamaran. Jared got a bit sick on the boat ride, but not too bad.
