Valentine's and Crazy Cupid's Cafe

I saw this link on the dating divas: http://www.thedatingdivas.com/holidays/valentines-day/cupids-crazy-cafe-a-family-v-day-dinner/  and wanted to try it this year.  Also didn't want to go out since I am sick and didn't feel up to it.

It turned out well I thought.  Ethan for his appetizer got a salad and a butter knife.  Jared got a dessert and Madeline got pizza (she worked it right).  Ashton wouldn't wear his crown.  He liked all of us wearing one though.  There's also a picture of the roses Jared got for me.  He also got a basketful of snacks for us to have a picnic dinner sometime.  We also had cherry cheesecake and cupid's float with cherry 7up, ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry.

I found this idea on pinterest and thought it would be fun to make for my kids to hand out this year.

I used pixy stix as the light sabers with the star wars characters holding them.

Stake Women's Conference

I was able to go to Stake Women's Conference yesterday.  I enjoyed it and love being able to go each year.   Something the main speaker at the beginning said was the point that stood out the most to me during the conference.  She talked about divine correlation and tender mercies, things you could think of as coincidences, but are really ways that Heavenly Father shows us that he's there and he cares about us.

It just made me think about the tender mercy that was shown to me last year when my mom found out from her visiting teaching companion about progesterone and pregnancy right at the time I found out I was pregnant again after a miscarriage from low progesterone and was able to help me out by telling me to go to the doctor early on in my pregnancy and to take progesterone, which saved this pregnancy and miracle baby.

Ethan's 9th Epic Mickey birthday party

Ethan wanted an Epic Mickey party for his 9th birthday.

So I put one together and he had his friends over yesterday.

The cupcakes - german chocolate and an epic mickey figure on top with a 9.

Donald Duck Hoopla game - where you had to toss a ring around the donald water bottle.

Some food we had:  Goofy Grapes

Also Hot Dogs or (Hot Diggity Dogs)

A mad lib game that we played.  That was my favorite part of the party.
