My new calling

This year started out differently than I expected.  I was given a huge calling that I never thought in a million years I'd get.  I was called as YW President in our ward after it was split.  I've always wanted to work in the YW, but a smaller calling like advisor I'd thought I'd be more likely to get.  My life has turned upside down I feel, but in a good way.  I hope that I can be the leader that these young women need.  We just had New Beginnings last Wednesday and I wanted to post pictures from that.

Also here are some items that I am excited to do in YW.

New beehive bags for their personal progress and other items to go in.  To go along with the theme "Embark"

A satin hanger.  One thing I remember getting in YW.  I would look at it every day hanging in my closet.  Motivation for me to remember my values and goals so that I could go to the temple one day.

TRAMPOLINE!

We finally got a trampoline!  So exciting I think :)

Valentine's Day

Here's the yummy chocolate fondue Jared and I had for valentine's day :)

Jared got me a dozen roses and I forgot to take a picture.  There were red and pink combined together.

Natural Curiousity Museum

I took my two littlest to the Natural Curiosity Museum with a friend from my ward before it split.  My kids loved it!

Lisa's visit

Lisa's family visited right after the holidays.  It was fun to see their family again!

Ethan's 11th birthday

I feel like I've been slacking on planning birthday parties lately.  For Ethan's birthday, we went to Pizza Pie Cafe and then came home and the boys had an air hockey, pool, and ping pong tournament, the same as last year.  I'm used to going all out for parties and planning and preparing, but it's a lot easier this way.  Also they are getting to be older and don't have themes that I could do easily.
