Madeline's Scooby Doo cake
Fight for pinata candy
(All the kids)
Today we celebrated Madeline's birthday, although her birthday is really on Saturday. We thought there would be Easter egg hunt and parties that people would be attending more tomorrow.
So Madeline wanted the theme to be Scooby Doo - the same as last year. She invited mostly her friends from our old ward and it was nice that they came all the way here!
We started out coloring pictures of Scooby Doo and the mystery machine. Next, we did a jello eating contest and saw who could eat the jello fastest without using their hands. Madeline actually won and Dallin and Eva were close behind.
Next, we did a beanbag throw to feed Scooby and then did pin the dog tag on Scooby.
Then we got pizza and did the pull string Scooby Doo pinata and had cake and ice cream. Madeline wanted German chocolate cake and cookie dough ice cream. So the cake was easy to make and I got the topper from Walmart - since you can buy it separately.
Then we opened presents. All the kids got to take home scooby ears and a scooby doo nametag that had their name and doo after it. So Madeline Doo and so on... They also took a helium balloon and goody bag from the pinata.
I had so much fun planning it! I love parties! Too bad I only have 2 kids to plan them for and they are both at the beginning of the year (February and April).

That sounds like fun!
Cute! I love kid parties too. Isaac is turning 9 in a few weeks, but I think 9 is too old to want to play cheesy games at home, I think I will have to take them somewhere or have a big movie night...I haven't decided yet.
