We stayed at the Super 8 in Ames. Here is a picture of the weather we had. Prior to our visit, Jared was excited to see some real storms. However, he was disappointed because they all bypassed us. That's ok, that same day there was an F-5 tornado. Even Jared want's to avoid those, but he would still be a storm chaser if I would let him.
Reiman Gardens -- known to us as the butterfly gardens -- has a room where you walk in and have butterflies flying all around you. Madeline and Ethan loved it! Madeline came up with names for several of the butterflies, such as the "Blue Marko." We are still not sure if those were real names or if she just made them up.

Madeline and Ethan's first time bowling. They got to use a metal platform, where they just pushed the ball and we had bumpers so the bowling ball couldn't go into the gutters. Madeline actually got a strike one time. They had a lot of fun!
Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Iowa. We went with Myrna, Jared's mom, to the zoo, and then went on our way to Jackson Hole. One funny part of the day was when we bought crackers to feed to the giraffes and Ethan took a bite out of one. We asked him what it tasted like, but he didn't want to tell us. Jared said some things are better kept to yourself.
